Four Star WR Malik Nabers formerly of Comeaux High School Commits to Mississippi State
Not only was today a special day for the #7 Player in the State as he made his college decision, Malik Nabers also made his decision on his birthday. On his 17th birthday, Nabers committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs and therefore ending his recruitment.
The soon to be Senior, that played his first 3 seasons at Comeaux High School in Lafayette, LA, had a break out season his junior season that put him on major Power 5 schools radars. Former Head Coach Doug Dotson has always stated he was going to be a force for opposing defenses to stop on the field and by the end of the 2019 season he contributed over 1,551 All Purpose Yard with 21 TDs. Receiving: 58 Recpts, 1,223 Yds 21 Tds, Returned 2 Kickoff’s for touchdowns
His pre and post season Awards: 2020 SI All American Team Watch-List, 2020 Max Preps Pre Season All State, 1st Team All District WR, All Acadiana WR, All Metro Return Specialist; 2nd Team All District as Sophomore
Nabers, listed as a Top 150 Four-star recruit, and #28 WR in the Nation and #7 Player in the State of Louisiana by 247 Sports, choose Mississippi State over other notable schools such as Georgia, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Miami, Kentucky and Louisville.
Nabers has decided to transfer to Southside High School in Lafayette, LA for his senior season.
Nabers follows the commitment of another well known 4 Star Recruit formerly from Southern Lab of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Theodore Knox (Committed June 27th, 2020) who now plays at The Woodlands in Texas.
