Big Week For Tiger Recruiting – 4 Star WR/TE Jack Bech – St. Thomas More Commits to LSU
HOLD THAT TIGER!! Twice In One Weekend!
Yes, the LSU Tigers landed two top players from the southwest Louisiana area in the same weekend.
Lafayette area Sage Ryan, four star and #1 Safety in the Nation, from Lafayette Christian Academy committed to the Tigers on Saturday. Then follow that up Sunday with the commitment of St. Thomas More’s four star wide receiver Jack Bech.
Bech, 6’2″ 215, announced that he was 100% committed to The Tigers in a video release on Sunday afternoon. Bech received his offer from LSU on October 24th and announced his de-commitment from Vanderbilt University on Wednesday October 28th, opening the door for a possible commitment to the Tigers.
Listed as one of the top receivers in Louisiana, he has already accounting for over 500 yards of offense for the Cougars in the first four games of a shortened season. In 2019, Bech posted season stats of 91 Receptions 1,688 Yards 20 TD’s, which set a new STM season receiving record and he currently holds the school record for receiving with 130 receptions for 2,391 Yards and 31 touchdowns.
During his announcement video he thanked his family for all their support as well as his friends and coaches that have been by his side and supported him through the years and the recruiting process. Bech’s uncles, Brett and Blain, both played for LSU. Blain Bech helped the Tigers win the 2003 National Championship when he took a fake field goal snap and completed a 29 yard pass to David Jones, for one of the Tigers scores.
