It was the Derrick Graham and Jason Barnes show Friday night at the Cat House in Central.
The offensive duo made big play after big play for the Cubs that kept Central’s defense on its toes the entire game.
Graham, a playmaker for the Cubs, raked up 84 yards rushing and 75 yards receiving on the night for U-High.
The quarterback duo of Abney and Hudson Osborne combined for 212 yards of offense for the Cubs.
Defensively the Cubs were led by Jaiden Ausberry and freshman Keylan Moses on the evening.
Central had a good start to the game but found it hard to convert offensively against the stout U-High defense.
“We were sharp all night and did not make many mistakes. On defense we had guys who had come back from injury that made a big difference,” said Andy Martin, Head Coach for the Cubs “We were able to rotate defensively to keep every fresh.”
Junior running back, Glen Cage, led the Wildcats with 80 yards rushing on 12 carries. Jonathan Swift II, senior quarterback, rushed for the Central’s only scoring touchdown.
“We will need to look at film and make corrections as we move forward. Our guys played hard but we have to improve.” – Central Head Coach Sid Edwards.
