NSD22 Was Off And Running With Many Top Recruits Signing During The Early Signing Period
It is that time of the year again as we all look to see which top recruits will chose to sign during the early signing period and where they will chose to play.
On the table were many of the State of Louisiana’s top prospects that had made their choices and commitments earlier in the season. Then there were those top prospects, like Shazz Preston of the St. James Wildcats and Madison Prep’s Quency Wiggins, that many were hanging on to the edge of their seats waiting to see where they would go to play college football for the next three to four years.
At the end of day one of the early signing period, over 50 top prospects in Louisiana signed to their respective schools.
St. James 4-Star wide receiver Shazz Preston chose the Alabama Crimson Tide to be his school of destination over LSU, Texas, and Auburn. While top prospects Jacoby Mathews, of Ponchatoula, TreVonte Citizen, of LCCP, and Kendrick Law, of Captain Shreve High School, choose to wait until February to sign their letters of intent
Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge top prospect, Quency Wiggins, chose in-state LSU Tigers on Wednesday. This brought a much needed boost to the Tigers fanbase after a somewhat crazy end to the regular season that saw major coaching changes.
