2023 LHSAA Prep Classic Is In The Books – What A Football Season It Was!
Our Final Game Of The Week for Friday Night Light’s was actually eight games in two and a half days. The 2023 LHSAA Football Prep Classic took place at the Caesars Superdome of the Weekend of December 7-9, 2023. Division IV – Select
The shocker of the night, The Kittens of Southern Lab traveled to Ouachita Christian and stunned OCS. The Kittens will meet Riverside Academy.

It is a trip back to The Dome for the #4 Haynesville Golden Tornados, as they will meet #3 Oak Grove. Oak Grove made quick work of their game against Kentwood, while Haynesville showed their offensive might against a stout Logansport team.

#2 Cecilia seems unstoppable as they took on Northwest in their semi final game. Cecilia ran away with explosive running plays by Corey Broussard (finished with over 230 yards and 4 TD’s) and Diesel Solari (3 rushing TD’s). Get ready for a showdown when this explosive run game meets Opelousas. #12 Opelousas stunned North Desoto Friday night with their “never say die” attitude.

Rematch from 2019, I think so. The St. James Wildcats traveled to Sterlington and showed their strength both on offense and defense. Two goal line stands in the second half pushed the Wildcats through to the win.. They will take on Union Parish, who defeated a very hot Jena team Friday night.
