Who Is The Top Ranked Player in the Nation for the Class of 2027?
Elijah Haven
Dunham School – Baton Rouge, LA
Position: Quarterback
To have covered a young man since he was in the 8th grade, on a varsity football field, seems rare in high school football. However, that is exactly what has happened for an outstanding student athlete out of Dunham School in Baton Rouge, LA.
From the very beginning there was something special about Elijah Haven, other than the fact he was very tall standing 6’4″. Elijah had a way about him on the field, a confidence that was so unique for an 8th grader. He went about his responsibilities in warmups just like he was a senior on the field.
That confidence and drive continues through to his sophomore year as he lead the Dunham Tigers to their 2nd State Championship game in 3 years. The first year he lined up at wide receiver as an 8th grader, now he was leading his team as their quarterback.
Elijah has set just about every record at Dunham since he emerged, including passing touchdowns, most yards passing, and this past season scored his 100th career touchdown. He had broken the school record earlier in the 2024 season but in the semifinal game versus Bunkie High School he added 6 more touchdowns to his resume. He now stands at 103 (71 passing, 32 rushing) And he is just a Sophomore!
Some have found the same resemblance as we have to a young Jayden Daniels. The future is bright for this young man, as we also maintains a 4.0 GPA with his studies.
