Long time offensive line target for the LSU Tigers, 4-star Brysten Martinez, made the announcement last week that he has Committed to play for the Tigers. He received his LSU Offer in September, 2023.
Announcement via Brysten’s Instagram Account:
“First off I want to thank the Man above for all the blessings he has brought my way, I want to thank my parents and my family for always supporting me through my ups and downs, i want to thank my mom for being there through every lesson God has brought to me, and if you know me, you know how hard my life has been since a kid and how grateful i am to be in the position I am in today, I want to thank my friends who stuck wit me through everything. Finally I want to thank LSU for allowing me to continue my academic and athletic career in their hands I wouldn’t want it to be anywhere else. My dream has come true, ALL THANKS TO THE MAN ABOVE. #AGTG.”
Martinez, a 2026 offensive lineman out of Gonzales, LA, is a massive part of the East Ascension’s Spartans leadership on the football field as he anchors the offensive line for the Spartans.
He first burst on the scenes his freshman year when he was introduced by Recruit Louisiana as “Just A Freshman” during the Fall Scrimmage at Spartan Stadium in August, 2022. Former Spartan Head Coach Darnell Lee stated, “He is going to be special, keep an eye on him!”

Since that time Brysten has continued to excel with his skill set as an offensive lineman and caught the eye of every major college football program, including the LSU Tigers. He chose the Tigers over other offers from Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and many others.
Martinez plays predominantly Tackle on the offensive line; however, in his junior season he also saw time on the defensive side of the ball in short yardage and goal line situations.
He stands 6’6″ and 290, he uses his size and length well to hold off defenders. His hands and feet quickness have continued to get better, as Brysten is also a varsity starter on the basketball team. Those basketball skills are valuable to his continued development.
