2020 Farm Bureau Insurance/LSWA Mr. Football, Sage Ryan Lafayette Christian Academy
Mr. Everything has one more honor to add to his list, LSU Commit Sage Ryan, of Lafayette Christian Academy, has been named 2020 Farm Bureau/Louisiana Sports Writers Association Mr. Football.
The four time state champion and All State football player has had an exemplary high school career that included four state championship, All State Honors from the Louisiana Coach’s Association and the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. He also has received honors on the national level that included SI All American Honors and Max Preps All American Honors.
Ryan becomes the first player from Lafayette Parish to win the award, which is selected annually by a committee of the state’s prep writers who closely cover high school football.

Season Stats: As a Junior, Ryan accounted for 757 Off Yds 16 TD’s 2X State Champion, 2019 State Championship Game 4.5 Tackles, 1 INT for TD, 2 Punt returns (TD,96 Yards), 2 Catches 59 yards 1 TD; in 2019 he also had 7 KOR for 371 yards, 3 TDs , Returned 13 punts for 342 yards and three touchdowns. As A Senior (limited by Covid) Ryan still rushed for 576 yards on only 57 carries and scored 13 rushing touchdowns. Ryan also caught 18 passes for 297 yards and 3 TDs and had three punt return touchdowns.
